Reporters note that in this game the Edmonton team made the Regina team look like amateurs with their fast skating constant pace and furious backchecking. The Regina team lacked a system to attack and the Edmonton team would neutralize it long before it was a threat. The fifth and sixth goals were scored on the powerplay while Keats was off for two minutes for tripping and the tying goal just as he returned to the ice.
Ty Arbur was the best player in the Edmonton line up, scoring a hat trick. He also is noted as having had a tremendous defensive game being excellent on the back check Keats is also noted as having a good game with his two points. On the home team side Hay and Moran were the best.

Talbot was having an awful night as three long shots managed to beat him and even the Eskimos dazzling team play wasn't able to help them keep up. Dick Irvin missed the first period but after he stepped on the ice in the second and began scoring the superiority of the Capitals became apparent. Even though the Eskimos managed to rain shots on the Regina goaltender in the first period, Laird was brilliant and kept the score even after one.
Dick Irvin's two goals in the second were individual efforts where he managed to stick hand through the entire Edmonton before scoring. Edmonton continued their barrage on Laird spending four or five minutes in the Regina end firing at will towards the net minder and were shutout, this heavy offensive left the Eskimos tired for the third. The Captials took advantage and extended the margin of victory.

Calgary managed to beat Edmonton in a high flying fast paced hockey game, however they lost Anderson during the match to a shoulder injury and he'd be sidelined for a while with a torn ligament. Edmonton played a strong game territorially, but the Tigers defence was reportedly nearly unbeatable. The game winning goal by the Tigers was a flukey shot from outside the Eskimos end an unfortunate goal. Two of the other goals featured awful defensive play the Eskimos allowing a pass directly in front of their net to an open opposing player.
Gillespie replaced Dea on defence and established his popularity with a strong game. Simpson worked hard throughout the entire game. Keats played perhaps his game of the season, being a part of all 3 of the Eskimos goals. Foley was perhaps the hardest worker on the Tigers side with Dutton being brilliant at both ends of the ice. Winkler himself claimed that he had played extremely poorly and if he'd be on his game Calgary wouldn't have scored more than one.

Flat out domination by Edmonton this game Keats and Simpson had absolutely spectacular nights posting over half a dozen each. The Eskimos had finally broken their losing streak playing with mechanical precision, skating hard and without weakness. Keats put up a historic performance not seen in many years by the Edmonton fans. Simpson also flat out dominated his two goals in the first were the result of end to end rushes through the opposing team.

Five of the Eskimos were far better than anyone on the Regina squad. Keats, Gagne, Arbour, Simpson and Gillespie, their was reportedly "scarcely any comparison between positions on each team". However the goaltending was the Eskimos undoing, Tobin let in 4 soft goals from outside the Eskimos end and one other goal from a sharp angle. Keats was displaying excellent stickhandling and Gagne and Arbour were working well their centerman. Moran and Traub on the Capitals side were performing 'miracles' in their own end to stem the tide of the Eskimos attack who kept possession the majority of the time preventing the Eskimos from running up the score Laird was brilliant facing somewhere around 40 shots.

This was the last game played by the Crescents before moving to Moose Jaw. This game was fast and rough with 15 minor penalties handed out, while Keats, Simpson and Arbour were excellent on the attack the real reason for the Eskimos success was the stellar play of Winkler. The former Saskatoon goaltender played amazingly and was nearly unbeatable the entire game. The Crescents dominated possession in the first two periods but were stopped by Winkler, his counterpart at the other end Hebert also made some excellent saves but the lack of backchecking by the Saskatoon forwards left him with little help in defending Edmonton's strong ability to counter attack.
